PowerGrid Pultruded Grating

Although sharing most of the features of molded GRP grating, there are distinct differences which give pultruded grating a unique usage base.

Powergrid Pultruded FRP Grating Features:

  • Non Slip Grit Top
  • Chemical and Corrosion Resistant
  • UV resistant
  • Light Weight
  • Maximum load in one direction for large spans
  • Maintenance Free
  • Fire Retardant Claas 1 <25 to ASTM-E84
  • Non Conductive
Although sharing most of the features of molded GRP grating, there are distinct differences which give pultruded grating a unique usage base. The most important feature of pultruded GRP grating consists of the fact that the glass to resin ratio is higher in the bearing bar direction, therefore the span capacity of pultruded gratings is higher compared to that of the molded grating. This reflects in a reduction of support structures and lower costs.
Pultruded Grating

Chemical Resistance

The use of premium grade, orthophthalic, Isophthalic polyester or vinyl ester systems and a surface veil our pultruded gratings offer superior corrosion resistance to variety of acids and caustics from the environment of light or moderately corrosive to extremely corrosive applications.

Rigidity

Our pultruded grating possesses about 35% resin and 65% glass content(by weight), giving it the very high strength to weight ratio. Load bearing bar capacity can be tailored to the application by modifying the glass content, fibre orientation, and combination of mat and fibreglass roving reinforcement.

Light weight

At approximately a quarter of the weight of steel, our pultruded gratings are much easier to handle, which reduces handling costs, allows for easier access and maintenance.

UV-protection

All Our pultruded gratings are added UV inhibitor into resin during process and a polyester surface veil is applied for optimum protection from the effects of weathering.

Fire Retardancy

Flame spread rating of class 1,25 or less, per ASTM E-84.
